Sheryl Fuman, CEO of Jewish Taskforce against Family Violence, writes:

Dear Ree,

After 22 years of raising awareness, providing education about FV and informing and referring people in our community to broader support organisations, the board has come to the decision that its initial mandate has been achieved and JTAFV is closing. Much has changed in both our community and the broader society, and there are now many other options and organisations who are able to provide the necessary information, support and ongoing case management.

Both discrete family violence organisations as well as local councils provide information and training/seminars on different areas of FV. 21 years ago it wasn’t part of the national conversation, whereas now it is and we are proud to have been part of that change, both within our community as well as in the general one.

We thank you for being a part of this very important work. Without your help and input we couldn’t have achieved our work.
